Have you ever let your mindset sabotage their fitness goals. What I mean is,… a BLACK or WHITE mindset. It goes a little something like this….Your’e on a plan, doing amazing, and for the love of God, your cousin HAD to go and get married! Awful timing for you?!?! If she could’ve been more considerate and planned a fall wedding instead of spring?? I mean no one is working overtime shaping their ‘fall body’ now are they?? One drink lead to another, and after all, it is your only cousin. All those drinks talked you into two pieces of cake. You wake up the next morning with abdominal pain and five pounds of regret…..
- How many times have you felt like GRRRRR “I’ve totally blown it”?
- Who has done the ‘walk of shame’ out of a restaurant?
- A weekend away, leading to a Monday funky feeling of ‘starting over again’?
- Have you ever decided that just starving yourself the next day made sense?
- How about the head down b-line to the treadmill to pay your penance?
- Who has camped out on the cardio equipment for an unreasonable amount of time to ‘work off’ an extra glass of wine or piece of cake?
- What about guilt ridden and disgusted, so you just skip the gym all together?
THEN YOUR BRAIN SAYS>>>>>
Maybe I have commitment issues??
Ugh, maybe a sexy body means living nutritional equivalent of a NUN,….
Maybe hire someone to smack the naughty food choices out of my hand??
Surely someone has invented a wearable alarm, similar to a shock collar to get me to the gym!
Maybe the rest of my life in LuLaroe’s oversized t-shirts and fancy print leggings isn’t THAT bad?
Continuing to “fail” isn’t worth it, I should just give up….
Can we all agree that LIFE memories are greater than macros?!?! So at your cousins wedding, drink the wine!! Your kiddos birthday….. eat the cake!! But ya’ll, everyday lunch with co-workers doesn’t need to be THAT memorable!

AS ADULTS….we have to agree on one simple thing.
The UPS man will NOT be dropping off healthy, beautiful, head turning, jaw dropping body.
It also isn’t gonna come in a bottle, with a never exercise kinda marketing scheme..
It also isn’t going to come without some planning and action of simple tasks,…
I don’t think this is ‘mic drop’ info here,… but I felt the need to plug that lil caveat.

I make healthy choices because I LOVE MYSELF, not because I hate myself.
Having your very best body, is a cumulative experience. It isn’t on the wagon, or off the wagon. It doesn’t require stops and starts. It’s a flow, a lifestyle. It weaves its way into or out of our world. LIKE IT OR NOT, WE WEAR THE CHOICES THAT WE MAKE.
If I had to guess, I’d say we make around 100 decisions a day that would impact your ultimate goal. From now on,… when making food choices or if your considering just skipping that group class then look at your choices like this….
THIS CHOICE WILL MOVE ME CLOSER TO MY GOAL
(cue mental image of a Goddess)
OR
This choice WON’T move me closer to my goal
(cue mental image of The Grinch)
You’re either moving closer to:
- flat stomach
- tone arms
- lower cholesterol
- loads of energy
- abs
- sexy legs
- that OMG booty
- (insert your own sassy desire,… don’t limit yourself to mine)
OR, you’re not!
THE GOAL IS TO WIN THE MAJORITY OF YOUR DAYS.
ONE DAY AT A TIME.
It’s that simple, make smart choices the majority of the time and you will shape the body and healthy lifestyle you crave. I want you to repeat after me….
