- MULTIVITAMIN AND MINERALS
A quality multivitamin and mineral supplement definitely covers the basics of all the baseline items needed for your body to carry out general chemical processes each day. If you’re shopping for a multivitamin or mineral supplement, make sure that you’re grabbing something that is broad-spectrum.
- COD LIVER OIL
What an age-old remedy, but this one definitely makes the top of the list! If you’ve ever worked with me personally, as one of my coaching clients, you understand the value of cod liver oil. We know that having a healthy gut protects our bodies against pathogens coming in and setting up camp. If you’re shopping for a probiotic, choose one with at least 5 to 10 billion active cultures/cells.
- ANTIVIRAL HERBS
Antiviral herbs are incredible and there’s such an extensive list of them. You really can give your immune system a boost straight out of your kitchen. Here are some of my favorites that make the list as far as herbs are concerned.

Vitamin C is a superstar for antioxidant properties. If you’re supplementing vitamin C, you want to look for buffered vitamin C and you want to add at least 1000 milligrams a day. Anything extra that our body doesn’t use will just be excreted through urine, so nothing to worry about there.
- VITAMIN D3
Vitamin D3 is actually a hormone that we get from sunshine. During the winter months, it is important that we supplement vitamin D to keep that hormone level high so that our immune system can function at an optimum level.
- ELDERBERRY
I’m sure you have seen the shelves of your local health food store staring at you with elderberry syrup. Elderberry is definitely one of those age-old remedies that work wonders. It helps fight off viruses and definitely will cut the time of being ill in half. It’s also a champion item for reducing inflammation as well.
